When the ways are hard to find
I keep looking for a perfect life
I never wanted to miss you tonight
But the thoughts always bring you back
Alone in the room, tucked in my bed
Dew on the windowpane blocks my view
Anxiety dawning, walls closing in
I fight a lost cause to get through to you
I have fought and I’ve lost time
I have burned myself in all the ways defined
Still could not tell you the reason behind
Why I was left unspoken every time
I am sinking in the black inside
I have hurt myself with a compromise
I still think one day you would be mine
But it’s too late now to turn back the time
