I’ve fought all my life
with the darkest dreams,
they’ve turned me into a monster
I never wanted to be.
I’ve been called a zombie
countless times,
but what it takes to survive,
I still haven’t been able to find.
I never knew
I was walking the blackest of the paths,
a road of insanity,
a breathing space for my scars.
A slider of memories
flowing through the cuts on my skin,
I’ve been trying to fight my demons
as I stand in the path as my own resistance.
It’s my fault,
I did it to myself,
this darkness is powerful than the will.
People often tell me to move on,
but,
how can I when cancer is settled down?
I fight a disease
every single day,
I know I hurt people around
who still care,
but,
I’ve lost sense of everything,
and I live those moments in repeat.
I feel tied
with the hatred of me,
chains,
that never set me free,
I sleep
with the nightmares
clouding my dreams,
and wake up
with a dose of eternal misery.
Like a curse,
something eats me from the inside,
a venom I drink,
leaves me shocked and paralyzed.
Helplessness,
has become a friend of mine,
but like a ghost,
it haunts me all the time.
I lost myself
a long time back,
and
there seems no way to be revived.
I want to speak,
but my words stop at the edge,
I want to cry,
but the tears can’t release my pain.
I am burning,
but still, I feel nothing,
I watch the sun
rise every morning,
but I creep into the dark
waiting to be forgiven.
