Empty Roads
Distant lights
Dusty pathways
and rainy nights
I saw the memories
frozen in time
Across the street
where people walk by

Lost in the memories
the thoughts made way for the past
The day got colder
And I saw you standing, drenched in scars

Situations
were never by our side
Fighting spirit
but too weak to decide
Through the shadows
we walked the same path
But then
everything burned down too fast

Waiting for the dawn
Wish I could stop the hands of time
The sunshine will greet my world
But there is no reason left to be alive

Trying too hard and broken inside
Words have become heavy to bridge the gap
I wait for that one chance
But I know you’ll never turn back

The walls are painted
With the truth hidden behind my lies
And every step I take
Pushes me away further from your sight

Lost in the plight
A memory of that night
The one that was so bright
Then faded away never to see the light
