A day goes wasted again,
A day when I failed myself again,
I want to let go of you and survive,
But my heart speaks the truth of my denial.
I can’t see beyond the thoughts of you,
I can’t talk beyond the love you gave,
I want to let go of this pain,
But my heart speaks the truth of my dismay.
A pendulum I’ve become,
Moving my wish from you to the void,
A storm that never concludes,
And my heart shows the side I hide.
Embracing the moon that radiates silver lines,
Streams of hope in the dark,
I stand with my eyes closed and pray,
But my heart speaks of the voyage I already embarked.
Looking back to find me again,
A soul lost in the hurt you gave,
I lose myself as I see it again,
As his heart speaks of the sorrow you engraved.
