The Hope: A Drug We Need

I don’t know
how to revive my soul
I want to breathe positivity
And exhale the foul

I want to let go of this pain
And the lies I embrace
It’s just the hope that lives on the edge
Wish it never fades

The thunderous clouds
Hope they soak the sanity
Let go of the anger
And save us from the calamity

The flock of birds
Hope they be the messenger in the hour of need
Carry the words of love
And travel across the oceans for peace

The Rich
Hope they be the angels
Erase the poverty and hunger
And ring the equality bells

The shiny stars
Hope they be a teacher
Explain the laws of nature
And show they also wear blinkers

Let the power
See you through the dark
Let the night
Make way for a new start
Believe in yourself
And keep the hope safe inside your heart
