Another day passes by
Memories flash as I close my eyes
Everything just falls in place
And tears of joy stream down my face
The years keep rolling by
As I breathe hiding from the world, living a lie
I long for the days I spent with you
When days were sunny and the skies were blue
I stand here deciphering the life
But it mocks the ways we survive
I force myself to live, see the sunshine
And wish for the memories to come alive
Miss the place, miss the songs
Miss everything anybody could ask for
Friends I smiled with, cried for
And the times I died for
Feelings that took me by surprise
Across the dark, I saw the light
Crazy talks and banter fights
All part of that wonderful life
When even the bad days ended with a smile
And the sorrows made way for happy times
The colors emerged from every rhyme
They left us elated and alive
I live in the darkness
As the light is left far behind
I am waiting for the life to rewind
Wishing those days come back piercing time
