Searching for you,
all around this place,
it haunts me,
and I see your face.
Your body is cold,
eyes are closed,
what I came here for
gave me a jolt.
It seems like yesterday,
you were standing beside me,
we laughed,
we shared
who we used to be.
Promised to stay
for years to come,
now,
you lie down,
cold, with unsaid words.
I’m giving up,
all that I believed in,
and this faith,
is killing me from within.
I see myself,
standing alone,
and now,
I have to tread this path unknown.
I’m so lost,
and
I search for a haven,
the life is immortal,
I was mistaken.
I’m running
from your shadows,
facing black,
and I feel so hollow.
The floods
storm my eyes,
I take a plunge,
and die every night.
I’ll never
be the same again,
so,
what’s the point
of not giving in.
You left behind
thoughts abound,
but
the darkness
still surrounds,
and I have lost
something,
that will never be found.
You’ve left me
in the coldest place,
and I know,
you will haunt me in a thousand ways.
There seems
nothing left to live for,
it’s just the hurt,
the pain,
and my howl.
