The hurt inside,
every time you hide,
broken apart,
but living with a smile.
Away from happiness,
derived,
you feel safe,
in a home with no skylight.
They laugh and mock,
morality sold,
city lights,
has poisoned their soul.
The sadness,
a magnetism in you,
altruism,
is what they don’t see in you.
You hit the walls,
as they close in,
the suffocation you feel,
is now part of you, deep within.
You drown,
in the depths of the unknown,
the blood inside you,
can’t see, is splashed all over the floor.
I swallow the truth,
I see it in your eyes,
the pain you feel,
something that my eyes can’t deny.
I walk beside you,
I know you don’t realize,
you are just lost,
in your own disguise.
I will follow,
the depth of darkness in you,
any pain I will go through,
even if I have to die for you.
Synopsis: A poem about true love and what a person can do for his/her love. The essence is to be by the side of the person you love in his/her tough times.
