Tired to the bones
I come back home
Jump into the bed
And shut all the daily chores
I hear my name across the room
Can’t believe
This life I traded with the gloom
Am tired of this fight
Tired of the hypocrisies around me
Exhausted, I think about that life
Where there were only you and me
Life was easy because you were there
I wish today you were here!
I remember the times
I fought with you
I remember the times
I yelled at you
I remember the times
I hated you
I’m sorry for all the pain I gave you
You hugged me
On scary nights
Wiped away the tears
when I wasn’t fine
I remind myself
Of the good old peaceful years
When for my smile
You shed your tears
I never worried about the troubles and fear
And, I wish today you were here!
I miss the food
Miss the love
Miss everything that you did for us
Now, when my sanity fades
I understand what is meant by a mother’s care
It amazes me
How you defined your life?
How you fought with the world when I was naive?
How you didn’t care about your plight?
Ma,
Thanks for giving me the best days of my life
This life will always be easy till you are there
Wish I could come back home and let my misery disappear
Ma, wish today you were here!
