The war
has taken its toll,
there is carnage all around
and crimson flowing through.
Turn your eyes away
as the sight is too gory,
people running around
and trying to escape
the perennial savagery

Why does it have to be this way?
How will the war bring peace in the fray?
The power is not permanent
and will choke the mighty one day.
There will be carnage again,
and the earth will tremble
to take them away

Brotherhood
has lost its shine,
the lust of power
has left the greedy blind,
there will be no future
if the present will decay,
the lines will remain
until we stand with shame.

The fragility of life,
time shall show its strength one day,
our souls will remain,
left to rot,
with no one to pray.
