You came in with cuteness surround
With black and golden brown fur all around
You were too small to be biting
Looking at you everything felt exciting

Running through the alleys
You played mischievously
Your eyes were so innocent
That everyone cared for you endlessly

You were vested with big responsibility
But you were also the heart of the family
Don’t know when you were all grown up
You were always like a smile popping up

Mornings started with you licking me around
Evenings were incomplete without you in the surround
We used to run like a furious breeze
We used to be best friends in every need

Never thought you’ll be gone like this
Couldn’t imagine the pain you suffered with
We needed you to kindle our lives
But your sudden loss has left a deep void

Synopsis: A poem about my dog who passed away a few years back. It is a poem about love for dogs and showcases the misery and emptiness that is left when a pet is gone.
