I thought
I had it all under control,
the time you took away
added another thorn to my mental toll.
I lived
by the rules you created,
I fought
with you to keep me from fading,
I plunged
into an ocean of uncertainty,
but
got drowned somewhere
in the broken boat of sanity.
You made me believe
in things powerful and magnetic,
your existence
is the truth that controls this planet.
You played this life
as if it was bound to break,
and kept a poker face
when the misery was standing at the gate.
Just like the sun and the moon,
my questions and their answers
were miles apart,
and with the snap of your fingers
my fragile mind was torn apart.
I couldn’t differentiate
between the wrong and the right,
and you kept
throwing the adversities, at the speed of light.
The struggles
that you put in was an unprecedented reality,
a face of my true self,
not worthy of denial.
I don’t know,
if you exist behind the blue skies,
but there is something
that you teach every single time.
The message of the tale,
every beginning has an end,
and the key to living
is not to give away at times
when life gets broken.
