Trapped in between,
a demon and the beast,
one lives above the earth,
and the other beneath.
They tracked me again,
from miles away,
I was hiding in my den,
but, they sensed their prey.
I can’t run now,
it’s too late,
I’m surrounded by the eyes,
facing my inevitable fate.
They pounce,
too strong,
against my will,
I fall.
One clutches my feet,
another my neck,
they tear me apart,
from the skin to flesh.
I can cry for help,
but I know the silence,
the misery cuts me through,
too weak now, to fight for existence.
They think they hunted,
a reality dawns upon me,
they are just scavengers,
unaware, enjoying a rotten meal.
