Introduction
“The weekend is here, but what are we supposed to do?”
Don’t lose hope. I will not complicate things here and will tell you some simple options that you can choose from to have a great and enjoyable weekend. The following list encapsulates some of the basic but yet cool things to do on weekends. I know most of you would be aware of these but still, this planner will give you a wake-up call.
Hang out with friends/someone special
Do you like some company? Then, this is your goto option. Chilling out with friends, going out for a coffee date, bowling, shopping, movies, or even a night out with barbecue and beer, is undoubtedly the fun you cannot miss. Suitable for Fridays and Saturdays as it gives you a day or two to cope up with your hangover. Just saying!
Plan a ROAD trip
The journey can be beautiful than the destination. If you are a travel junkie, then you know this is the most interesting thing to do on weekends. Planning a road trip and an impromptu weekend getaway is super exciting. Just pack your bags, get on the road with family/friends, and forget all the worries. Halt to have breakfast/lunch/dinner on the go, click pictures, adore the scenic views, etc. Start on a Friday night or early Saturday morning to get the best out of time and journey.
Simple stuff
A movie and lunch (or dinner) with your loved one(s) at home can be a perfect choice. Throw away your phone and refrain from doing any office work. Try spending quality time with people who matter, something that can be hard to do on weekdays. You surely will take away some memories to cherish for life.
No option? Sleep
It is probably one of the most popular things to do on weekends 😛 If no plan churns out, and you love sleeping, well, go for it. It “One who sleeps often weeps,” but then who cares? You need a good rest after a hectic week, and sleeping will definitely rejuvenate the mind. Just Eat & Sleep!
Me Time
Why not listen to your favorite rock band, read your favorite novel, meditate, go out for a walk, embrace nature? You have to have your “me” time which otherwise is challenging on weekdays. Believe me, keeping aside some time for yourself from the hectic life will help you feel happy and rejuvenated. It will take away any anxiety, monotony, and restlessness.
Go out, help someone
Lastly, if you are looking for some quality time, then how about joining an NGO and sign up for some charity work? There are so many people out there who need our help. There are a lot of NGOs today that work in the areas of Education, Health, and Technology. Helping the underprivileged is the most satisfying feeling. How about even sponsoring the education of a needy child? There is a whole new world out there that we generally don’t see in our day to day lives.
I hope this list will help you in having a fun and self-satisfying weekend.
Happy Weekend!
