I walk
the empty halls of my home,
searching for you
behind each door.
I sense a fear
inside my heart,
but still can’t stop
from finding out where you are.

I get a glimpse of you in that room,
and you’re frozen and cold
lying on the floor.
I can hear
the crying voices of the unknown,
but can’t hear
the storm inside, hitting the core.

I try to touch you,
but you turn into ashes
every single time.
I want to hug you
and cry out loud,
but you fade away saying “I’m fine”.

Tell me,
why you broke my will?
Should I even love you anymore?

Tell me,
why you left behind your memories?
If I had a choice,
I would ask for death and be with you till eternity.

I don’t know
to be sad or angry?
You left me with broken promises
and everything left to be concealed.
The regrets and the hurt
now stay with my misery,
I don’t want to see your face
because you betrayed me.
