Best in me: A Broken Heart

I’ve been here
all alone
Forever here
all alone

You came in like an angel
and left me with a broken heart,
I don’t know
why I’m lost in your thoughts
when I’ve come so far?

Forever,
I am left broken in pieces,
the hurt, misery, and the scars you gave,
are now part of my screeches

The truth haunts
and life hurts
as I try to breathe in,
the river of happiness
flows beside me
but the sadness drowns me in.

I punish myself
the times I lose control,
I can fight
the dark times,
but the emptiness
keeps me from standing bold

I see you laughing
at the honesty, I now bleed,
I need you to stomp me
till the best in me, hiding,
gets back on its feet
